Go Under the Mercy Alexander Moore
Go Under the Mercy
Alexander Moore
Nathan is a young and somewhat naïve physician, just starting out in solo practice as the only physician serving a small Southern town. He is more concerned with caring for his patients than making a lot of money and rising through the ranks of the town's social strata. This does not sit well with his wife Adele, who yearns to be among the elite, nor with his parents Thomas and Gertrude, who are already part of the town's gentry. Nathan becomes frustrated and resistant as his wife and parents push him to better himself in the eyes of the community. With no easy solution at hand, Nathan finds a way to reconcile his dilemma in a rather devious manner.
