Dangerous animals, dangerous people.... One National Park Ranger's story! 'Bears, bison, and unpredictable people highlight the memorable career of Terry Spangler's service as a National Park ranger. Being part of the team that put the first radio collar on a grizzly bear in Glacier National Park - and dodging bison inside Wind Cave NP are but two of the exciting events that he has experienced. As I was running, I couldn't help but have an amused thought. My tombstone would say: 'trampled to death by buffalo', just like for an old westerner caught in a stampede! This is a behind the scenes look at the life of a National Park Ranger, told from the perspective of one who has served in 15 different parks and trained in 10 others over parts of 5 decades.
