For the past year, Mark McGee and his friends have shared some pretty exciting adventures that all began when he moved to Gateway, Florida. They've battled demons, monsters, a dragon, and even the devil himself. Just as it seemed they might get to enjoy what was left of their summer break, Mark is told there is only one way to end the generational curse on his family. He has to go where even the angels cannot go. He must destroy the dragon that has been killing McGee's for hundreds of years. Leaving his friends behind, he must do this alone...or so he thinks. Meanwhile, in Gateway, the dragon is planning to keep a promise he made to Mark in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. "I am about to take everyone from you! Every! Single! Person!" Nobody is safe as Mark's friends and family come together to take on the powers of hell...with a little help. Billy Stancil lives in Jacksonville, Florida, with his wife Rachel. He has been involved in youth ministry, drama ministry, and Christian comedy. His goal as an author is to offer the message of the cross of Christ in an exciting way to children of all ages. His inspiration for this book series was a castle in Callahan, Florida, where he imagined a 12 year old boy would just have to investigate. Fun fact: most of his characters are the names of people he's known throughout his life... Mark McGee was his best friend in kindergarten.
