Contributor Bio:  Sanders, Ron Ron Sanders is a Signature Member of both the Paint America Association and the National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society, and an Associate Member of Oil Painters of America. The winner of numerous national and regional awards and honors, the artist's work has been featured in The Artist's Magazine(r), American Artist(r), and Southwest Art(r). His paintings hang in private and public collections throughout the United States, including the Indiana State Museum Collection, the Alvin C. York State Historic Area, and the Air Force Weather Agency - Offutt Air Force Base. An honors graduate from the Columbus College of Art & Design (Columbus, Ohio), Ron has produced illustrations for clients such as Spike TV, Doubleday Book Club(r), Chase(r) Financial, The Boy Scouts(r), BF Goodrich(r) and many newspapers and book publishers while represented by agents in New York and Chicago. As a fine artist, Ron has spent his career extensively studying the craft of oil painting through books, experiments, and interviews with pigment wholesalers, paint manufacturers, chemists, paint retailers, and museum curators. He has studied the styles and methods of past and present masters while actively pursuing his own method of personal expression. Ron's talents encompass a variety of fields, from fine art oil painting and custom portrait commissions to commercial illustration, from architectural design and land planning to photography, desktop publishing and digital prepress, and from set and prop design and construction to writing and teaching. His experience in traditional and digital photography and in the printing industry have added to his practical understanding of color. Ron Sanders is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He currently lives and teaches art classes along the Gulf Coast of Florida.
