Dwight E. Jonas is a 52 year old man who resides in New York City. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1989. He backslid later in 1989, which led to him being incarcerated in 1995-1997, and again in 1998-2001 for drug possession. It was in prison in 2000 that God proved to Dwight that he was truly married to the backslider. Being addicted to crack-cocaine for most of his adult life, Dwight sought to end his life in prison by suicide. That was the night God turned his life around. God spoke to Dwight, telling him that he would be prepared to minister to people who were also suffering from drug addiction like himself. Dwight left prison to begin his journey in Christ. Dwight is now married to Ronnette Gregg Jonas. They have five children: three boys: DeAndre, Dewight, and DeAllen, and two girls: Deandrienne, and DeAlexandra. Dwight, and his wife attend "Praise Assembly Church," of Christlife Bible Church. They are also enrolled in Christ Life Bible Institute and Seminary. Dwight is joyfully overwhelmed by God's mercy, grace, and forgiveness, and looks forward to graduating from the Seminary to begin his ministry.
