Bridget Saunders is not a typical fifth grader. She may need to use an electric wheelchair to get wherever she wants to go, but her disability never casts a shadow on her faith in miracles. When God hears of Bridget's dream to be part of a real-life fairy tale, He decides to make it a reality! Bridget soon finds herself in the company of Rory, her spunky Guardian Angel, and the Lord Himself on her imaginary enchanted island - the place where she can trade her wheels for wings and fly the butterfly way! This is a place for those with enough imagination to know miracles are possible and the faith it takes to see them happen. Brooke Brown is a recent graduate of Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication where she was the recipient of the Walter Cronkite Outstanding Student Award. The honor of being selected graduation speaker was also bestowed upon her where she astounded the audience by delivering her speech entirely through the use of an electronic communication device. She was rewarded with a standing ovation. Brooke creates many of her fictional characters with special challenges to parallel her own life. In reality, she lives with Cerebral Palsy, a physical disability that forces her to depend on a power wheelchair to navigate the halls of life. Brooke's love of fairy tales comes from her faith in miracles. "God gives us imagination so that we can better understand His great power," she says. Brooke resides in Scottsdale, Arizona where she is currently preparing to enter graduate school.
