As Promised, the LORD God Visits Israel in Egypt Joseph, the favorite son of Jacob (or Israel) gave a prophecy along with instruction concerning his bones before he died at the age of 110 years in Genesis 50:24 through 50:26: And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land (Egypt) unto the land (Canaan) which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. And Joseph took an oath of (or commanded to sware!) the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence. So Joseph died, being an hundred and ten (110) years old: and they embalmed him, and he was put in a coffin in Egypt. And sure enough, about 375 years later the LORD God stood up His special servant in the person of Moses (who was fashioned after Jesus), from the family of Levi to bring the whole nation of Israel out of Egypt and bondage unto the Promised Land of Canaan! But Jesus is the most special servant of God sent to bring whosoever will follow Him out of the sin and the world's bondage(s) unto eternal life! This book is a study of the Judeo - Christian Bible Text of "Exodus", which is the narrative being fulfilled of the prophecy Joseph declared in Genesis 50:24. Exodus begins the journey for those in Egypt the LORD God chose to call and use to bring forth His grace of blessing to human kind; which grace resulted in the Lord Jesus Christ and His work of savior for the world! The narratives of the journey for the people God chose to reveal Himself through to all the world began in Genesis. And is continued with this Book of Exodus, then Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and the remaining Canon of Texts of the Judeo - Christian Bible!
