I have alwaysdeeply wished to write a book for children. Then I learned of diamond poems,which are poems with two contrasting ideas, with a linking middle sentence,that changes from first to second idea using nouns. An idea struck my mind. Ishall write a book intended to help children of all ages to build theirvocabulary using these poems. A second idea reeled in. The book will includeillustrations from diverse number of children. Then I had a dream, that thisbook would raise money to help a school in my hometown Korogwe. Then followed asecond dream, that one day this book would be accessible to all school childrenin my native country Tanzania. In a few weeks time, this book came about. I had much funrevisiting my inner child during this journey. An added blessing was to haveshared it with a bunch of creative kids whose work is portrayed here too. Havejoy recalling the child in you!
