How often do you come home and feel overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that needs to be done, before you can sit down and relax? My daughter Alex, is the inspiration behind this book. When she was seven, she informed me that when I pick her up from day care, straight after work, I am crabby.

"Why didn't I just leave her there? She was having fun playing. Go home and change clothes or something, then come and get me." I said "Hmmmm". I drive and hour to and from work. I have been rushing to pick her up as soon as possible. I had two hours until the close of day care. The amount I paid was the same. I started going home after work. I would have a hot cup of tea and do whatever I wanted (not house work) for 30 minutes with the quiet house all to myself.
