This is part six of a series of booklets about the history of Hatfield in Hertfordshire. Part 6 is a history of the law in Hatfield from the time when it was in the hands of the Lord of the Manor to the 1960s. . When this series of booklets was published 50 years ago, it was rightly regarded as an exceptionally authoritative and informative work. It has since remained unchallenged as the primary source of reference for anyone interested in the history of Hatfield. Recognising its enduring value, members of Hatfield Local History Society have undertaken this reissue now including a comprehensive index.
