Ich kann es nur warmstens empfehlen." - Jeffrey Stephens" Contributor Bio:  Chase, Jonathan Nan Chase was born in Belgium and lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a youngster. She was first introduced to watercolors as a student at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge. It was a tremendously exciting experience as she felt that she had been failing miserably at drawing horses and dogs, the main interest of her classmates. She graduated from Wellesley College, majoring in Art and spent a graduate year at Harvard studying Fine Arts, with the intention of going into museum work; then, World War II intervened and she went to Washington to work for the Navy Department and the OSS (now known as the CIA). In 1943, she married Peter R. Chase, then employed by the Department of State. She spent nearly 30 years as a U. S. Foreign Service wife, raising five children in the the Middle East and teaching art and elementary grades in the American Schools in Cairo, Khartoum and Algiers. Not many of her paintings remain from this period, but she was constantly exposed to Egyptian, Roman and Islamic art and archaeology. In 1970, Nan returned to the New York area, where she taught 3rd grade for 10 years at the Hackley School in Tarrytown, New York and came to Rockport, Massachusetts every summer. At that time, she started attending artist workshops lead by Martin Ahearn. In 1986, Nan retired and moved into her mother's house in Rockport. She then was able to study painting more seriously, studying with Betty Lou Schlemm as well as accompanying the Rockport Art Association on painting trips to Greece, Yugolslavia, France, and Italy. Nan found Cape Ann's coastal location had an endless source of inspiration for the artist within. Contributor Bio:  Eason, Adam Adam Eason has been running marathons since 2000. In that time he has run some very fast marathons and some very slow ones but has relied on his mental skills to help him throughout. As a UK athletics registered and licensed running coach as well as a clinical hypnotherapist, this book combines two of his great passions. Author of a number of books on the subject of hypnosis, creator of many hypnosis audio programmes that sell globally, and principal of a prominent hypnotherapy training school, he has lectured on the subjects of hypnosis and self-hypnosis around the world. He lives with his family on the South Coast of England where he loves to run along the sea front.
